Mike Sullivan, founder and CEO of Peak Construction in Illinois. Last December he oversaw the company’s move from a 2,500-square-foot office to a more roomy 8,000-square-foot building. That left plenty of space for a deluxe-size CEO suite. He's had an office since co-founding the company in 1997, but when Peak moved, Sullivan opted to sit in a cubicle on the main floor with the rest of the staff.
"I'm a big believer that our company's strength revolves around communication with our clients, customers and our employees," he says. "The best way to lead is to be with the people."

Hopping from one temp assignment to another for about 2yrs, I've seen many things and I've been noticing that more and more managers are doing the same thing. They are right there in the cockpit along with middle management and the workers helping to bring about office cohesiveness and minimize bigheadedness
